Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.

The bible says "to whom much is given; much is required."
This seems to ring loud and clear for NFL Legend former Defensive end Kevin Brooks. Being a first round draft pick in 1985 and now retired for over 20 years, some would think that it's time for an NFL Legend to take a seat and let current or younger legends shine. Not so for this legend!
Kevin Brooks Productions is considered to be a trailblazer
not just in the NFL and TBI community, but also in the weight loss community.
We pride ourselves in our advocacy for those that are in dire need of
assistance, education, guidance, and support.
Every 16 seconds, someone is
affected by a Traumatic Brain Injury……
Over the past year alone KBP has been very active in the
community raising awareness, educating, inspiring and advocating!
Kevin Brooks and His wife Tiffany have become regulars on
KTXD-TV shows The Texas Daily, and Texas Living, and also 1160 AM radio show
with the DFW Sports Angel Robin Valetutto, bringing awareness to the after
effects of concussions and life as a TBI survivor.
Both Kevin and his wife Tiffany work diligently to bring awareness
to not just the NFL community but the entire TBI community along with spending
much time educating school age athletes about football safety, concussion, and
spinal injuries.
Kevin Brooks has
assisted in the effort to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation (appearing
on the Drew Pearson show). He supports the efforts of the Dallas Margarita
society in their quest to raise money for Dallas Children’s Charities. Kevin
has volunteered his time for the Annual Love For Kids Christmas Party also.
The philanthropic and humanitarian efforts of Kevin Brooks
and his wife Tiffany are strong and diligent.
The Brooks duo prides them-selves in having humbled hearts,
compassion, productivity, knowledge, courage, faith, and spirituality. All
these attributes shine through in not just business but also in their day to
day lives.
This past Super bowl season, Kevin Brooks Productions donated
their time to raise awareness and monetary donations for the North Texas Food
Band and their Super bowl for Caring campaign at a local neighborhood Kroger
store in McKinney Texas.
Kevin Brooks also speaks on Obesity and weight loss surgery.
He is featured on billboards throughout the metroplex, and has been a
spokesperson for Dr. John Alexander, and the Alexander Center for Obesity. The
commercials that Kevin Brooks appears in have motivated many to seek healthier
nutritional habits and exercise regimens.

Role Models
Being the wife of a true NFL Legend is such a rewarding yet demanding task. My most favorite verse in the bible is "to whom much is given; much is required' As I age I tend to follow God's words and I believe in them fully!
There is so much within the media these days in regards to NFL Players, their actions, and the consequences of their choices. Society has decided many years ago it's acceptable for stars and athletes to be the role models for our children. But, what ever happened to the household being the place where our children see role models? Isn't that what parents are for?
Yes I know there are many children born to parents that really just aren't in a position to exude the best character traits but none the less we still must hold every parent responsible when it comes to the task of being a role model for their children and at times children of others.
It bothers me that over time their has been an incline of social hierarchy. We as society are telling children that if you are rich and famous you are better than all the rest and there fore these are the people you should strive to be like. That is unfortunate!
Reflecting on my life , I have seen that most of my influence as a child came from those closest to me. Yes I saw Oprah as a role model but when it came to my choices she certainly had nothing to do with them. I sat for many years as a teenager watching her show, loving her words and power. I knew there was something amazing that she was blessed with. I recall feeling that there was only room for one Oprah within the world. I concluded with no help that I one day would reach the level Oprah was at, I just didn't know how.
At this stage in my life, though I am not an "Oprah" I am a self made woman that seemed to not have a chance initially. (as so many may have felt at one time or another)
I have not an issue with striving to be the best that you can be, or even looking at the life of another and using that as a guide. My point Is this, No matter your social status, creed, color, or financial class we are all human and we are far from blameless. There is no victory on putting someone on a pedestal of perfection. The bible states that we all fall short of the Glory of God!
